I'll just leave this here. 1994 s10 zr2 pickup with the engine, trans, transfer case, and hydraulic brake assist/master from a 1993 k3500 chevy. 6.5 turbo diesel, 4L80e, hydroboost, custom shafts, electric fans, hd mechanic fuel pump that is turned up, manual waste gate, 31 inch mud terrains. Included a pic of the one ton going off to scrap after it was wrecked :dang: and some of the work the s10 does that got me thinking a few extra foot lbs would be in my best interest :humm:. Thats a C2500 suburban with a electronic 6.5 with a heath programmer, diamond eye exhaust, cold air, and boost master. Turbo diesel all the things! S10 is on full time daily duty and i have the 6.5 running the oil pressure, engine temp, fuel level, and volt gauges from the s10 but havent ran the wire to the speed sensor yet :w2:. Not sure what the fuel economy is without a speedo/trip but its been great so far.

Nice rig. Looks like quite a feat getting that in there.

I agree that did look like a rough fit, based on the pictures. Have you thought about adding a leaf to the rear suspension?

Josh Haynes 12-17-2015 09:31 AM

i have a set of air assist rear shocks in the rear, they just dont get the job done. I think im going to have to get a set of big boy air bags so i can adjust it. The burb does carry the racecar trailer allot better though huh lol.

Tanman_2006 12-17-2015 09:55 AM

That's a tight fit! Other than not being a fan of the turbo master or heath products I really like the rigs!

Is that hose the air intake? I'd re route that to lower intake temps

Josh Haynes 12-17-2015 11:08 AM

haha, and where would you reroute that. As is that is literaly the only path if i want the hood to shut. Soon, its getting a holset and a snorkel, until then thats how 10 lbs of shit fits in a 5 lb bag. Its a very thick rubber, the bigger problem there is the 4.3's airbox and filter. I have considered moving the battery to the drivers side and mounting the air box over there. would clean things up a bit.

Whats wrong with heath? or the turbo master?

Tanman_2006 12-18-2015 10:36 PM

Heath was a self righteous d bag when I tried to ask him about getting a smokeless tune for my a team turbo. He told me to buy his turbo master and that's all I'd ever need, its not true, the stock turbo is a restrictive POS and he never took the time to properly tune the better turbo (KOJO did).

Funny how Heath sells and aftermarket turbo now though.

weird, i contacted them when i bought my suburban to ask questions about his products and he was very helpful. even offered to run me a new flash because the one in my burb is pretty old and im having some high egt issues while towing. Sucks you had a bad experience but its the opposite of what i got. :humm:

Moved my battery into the backseat, moved my air box to the passenger side (just for you tanman ;) ), and found a few little wiring issues. Pictures coming later when i bring it in from the cold to run a new ground. :argh:

Got it pulled in and found some unused floor space and added a second battery/ran my ground down to the frame. And yea i know i have a agm and wet cell battery tied together and they will cannibalize each other when the truck is off. Ill be ordering a battery isolator on payday and until then i hooked up it up so the interstate is easy to pull off at night. Time to hook my invertor back up and move to finalizing the engine harness, its rough having a project truck as a daily driver. Hopefully ill have a new center section for the suburbans rear diff soon. :w2:. figured id include a picture of its busted front end lol, it gets wheeled frequently.

Yup, that intake is better.

Most people with a non heath turbo don't get alot of specific help, he has very little interest in helping other turbo's run right. Most just get a modified Vin F performance tune that adds fuel at the top or bottom.
