5.9 Cummins to zf 5speed 92 f250
Starting my swap and need help with a parts list to convert my 91 5.9 Cummins to a 92 f250 with azf 5 speed. Anyone know a budget way to do thus kind if swap?

My suggestions is to build your own motor mounts and buy the ford cummins or destroked adapter plate. Most everything else you can do yourself if your mechanically inclined. I did mine relatively cheap aside from buying the engine. A lot of people move the engine back so they can run the mech fan but I chose not to and have had zero issues with the big electric fan I put on it. With what you're doin also you will need a cummins flywheel drilled and tapped to take the ford pressure plate. I wish I would've taken more pics and notes when I did mine but the way I did it was to just go to the parts store when something popped up I needed. If you wanted some ideas on the motor mounts I'm really happy with how mine turned out so if you want I could text or email you some pics if ya want. They didn't cost me a dime because I had all the materials to build them.

Thank you, i would appreciate any input on this build. Specs on the mounts would help a lot. Can't wait to see you're swap.

I agree with the building all yourself is yours a 2wd or a 4wd you didn't say
here is my point the adapter plate is going to cost you about 700 i would take that money and put it toward a nv4500 then you are using factory parts no mater where you are at or what happens you can get parts |
Sent ya a email

That'd be sweet

I agree with going with the nv4500, you will be much happier in the long run. They are much stronger and they bolt right up and if you plan on doing any hp increases the zf will not last.
