the turbo feed line is low presure oil. The pump is definately dead, we know it is getting oil to the feed side of it because when you took pump out the oil was flowing, if you cranked it with cover off it should have shot oil all over the place, probably good it is dead or you would be cleaning oil up for days. This pump builds up to 4500psi,
Also if i were you I would try to blow air through the hole where you took that little hose off from the egr cooler, take the cap off the degas bottle/resivoir/ and put your fingers around the air nozzle to try to seal it up, you don't want to have alot of air blowing back out of the hole you are putting it into, when you were cranking with egr cooler off did you get alot of water out of the port on oil cooler? Since you are into the motor this far you might want to address the oil cooler because they will clogg up and can cause head gasket failure and it really hurts the oil too which could effect the HPOP too. These trucks really need coolant filters on them but are not on there from factory. It is interesting that these engine are in big box trucks too and all of them come from the factory with coolant filters. If it is clogged, I bet it is I will get you the part number for the rebuild kit, they are around $230 I think. Sorry you had this failure but it is the perfect time to make it last another 200k miles.
