If you pull the apps sensor off the mount it is a white tag on the underside of the sensor itself. I'll find the write up and post a link here.

ok found out what the problem was and got a new one in the process, the nut for the pump cover fell off and the eyelet was just hanging on, well i take out the taping screw and go to ace get teh new nut and put the taping screw back in and the pump cover i have (from BD) is striped out and will not pierce the wire properly..... this is jsut getting better and better...

That's a problem but I don't think it would be causing the dead pedal and tach problems, this screw not being fastened just means the wire wasn't tapped for the extra HP increase. I'd keep lookin if it were me.

well it would explain why when the box is trying to take control of fueling its causeing randome moment of dead pedal and very rough running and it would also explain why i cant get a god tac reading to the box (the truck does jsut fine as far as rpm goes) however i think you are right and there is somethign else funky going on.
