starving for fuel?
ok i recently did the cummins ford conversion it is a 91 f350 with my 94 cummins. it seems to be acting like it is startving for fuel it has a new fuel filter and im running 1/2" lines from the lift pump to the p-pump. any ideas?

have u checked to see if u have fuel pressure?
|
do you have a draw straw in the tank
|
fuel psi havet checked yet going to tonight. anyone know what size fuel lines are used on the 94,95 dodge cummins. and the size on the 91 f350 with the 7.3 non-powerstroke? when i was driving the othernight you could peg it and it would hesitate and die. i know it couldnt be a problem with anything on the motor cause it ran flalesly when it was in the dodge and all i did was swaped it into the f350

so im guessin ur using the cummins stock lift pump. i know on my dads 89, it would suck air where the tanks swapped over.

I dont think line size is the problem here - sounds like lack of fuel pressure, may have some air in the fuel system or a small leak. Did you check fuel pressure? Brandon, your going to be a hell of a mechanic once you get all through this. |
hell evil this truck is draggin me down i put a 6' rubber line from a cas can on the cround to pull out of and i cant get the turd to prime i didnt get the fuel pressure guage hooked up havent had time to get a liine made i have a guage that will hook up to a port i installed a year ago. what is bothering me is when it was in the dodge it ran great all i did was yank it let it sit on the shop floor for a month and installed it in the ford
