This Truck Is Gonna Drive Me To Drink!!!

I'm on my second aftermarket lift pump, first one didn't meet Mopar flow specs got a second one under warrenty from the first one. Now on the way home tonight truck stumble and then another big one that sounded like it softly "coughed" back through the turbo. With codes p00336 p0521 p0438 and finally p0628...... :se: When it rains it pours......

Didnt you win the airdog at christmas??

Red_Rattler 12-30-2008 10:20 PM

Yep, I put a stock one back on b4 I knew I won it. I was gonna use that one till spring when the weather is better and I can pull the bed off of the truck to do the install. But at this point I just want my truck to run right and be reliable again!!! :argh:

looks like its time to get the overalls out and go work in the cold, huh?:ouch:

Red_Rattler 12-30-2008 10:53 PM

Yep, but I don't think that the only problem because 2 pumps in 400 miles come on.... :hang:

stkdram55 12-30-2008 11:13 PM

:humm: do you know what the codes mean?? It could be your (gulp) Cp3

Wow! Sorry to hear this again. Another pump? Maybe you should just put the truck away till spring and ride your sled. Man I hope you get this all figured out. It must be frustrating as hell. The Airdog is going to come in handy but I would definitely make sure there aren't other issues. Hang in there Buddy :pals: and keep us updated to what you find. Maybe all the others codes were caused by another faulty pump going out:humm:

Welllllllllll, I was poking and prodding under the hood 2day annnnnnnnd the whole time it was in high idle you could tell the rail pressure wasn't staying consistent. So I was wiggling wires on the back of the lift pump no change, onto the FCA wiggled made some weirder noises then smoothed out a weeee bit after I stopped. Then onto the rail pressure connection...... Since my rp gauge and Banks is plugged into it thats like 6 points of failure :lol88: As I'm moving and pushing it around smooths out roughens up so I said screw it and shut the truck off and say bye bye to the Banks connection. Start back up smooooooth idle no initial rp drop when I get on it. I think I might be on to something? :humm: Except now my rp is lower than it use to be but at least its steady now! I just don't know what a stock would have for rp since that what I'm basicly back to. I'm gonna run it like this for awhile and cross my fingers!
