But with what your pulling though, I would expect it to be cooler. But you do have a older truck, but has the radiator been clean on the outside for mud or debris? Might help to maintain the heat and keep the temps lower. |
water tempt problems
one year ago november i installed a new radiator, new water pump, new thermostat, new fan clutch,,,,,,,BUT... the radiator was a 3 CORE HIGH EFFICIENCY RADIATOR. it had a 4 CORE radiator in it, 10 years old and it sure enough wasn't doing the job.. the radiator shop owner assured me the 3 core high efficience would do the job. what do you think about that 3 core????? thanks r young

A 3 core high efficiency is pretty much equivalent if not better then to a regular 4 core.
Have you changed the rad cap, or tested it? If cant hold pressure, it ll heat up quicker. Do you know your intake temp and egt's when your at 220? |
