the first things to check are fuel and oil PRESSURES,,,
first pull the fuel filter cap and turn the key on to see if the filter housing fills wth fuel.
Second, pull the oil filter cap off and stick just the filter down in the housing, hold it down, and have someone crank the motor over to see if the filter housing fills with oil.
If it died instantly I would say it is a oil problem, either low pres oil or high pres oil. if it died slow then it is possible a fuel issue.
If you have a good scanner or Autoengnuity program, you can monitor ICP actual-ICP desired-and IPR % it will tell you what is going on with the high pressure pump.
Were you having any hot start issues??
check your fuel and oil for flow first and see what happens. then we can address the high pressure system if need be.
these trucks have 2 oil pumps, motor pump and high pressure pump for injectors. if the motor pump fails it won't feed the HPOP and the injectors can't fire without it.
