6.9 idi wont start
 

Hi. I have a 6.9 idi that wont start. i just put new return lines on an o rings around injectors. The truck will run on starting fluid but not on diesel. The guy that owned it before me says he put a new injection pump on it. I have bled the lines made sure their is fuel but still wont run on diesel. I don't know what else to do. Could their be a bad switch, or pump or is it out of time? PS it will fire on diesel but that's about it. Please help!?!?:argh::scare2:

Have you changed the fuel filter?

Yes. Its gettin fuel but doesnt wanna fire on the diesel.

Use WD-40 not starting fluid unless you wanna be picking up parts.

had same problem today 1991 7.3.bleed injectors turned out to be fuel filter.
