Injector Nozzles

Smokem 11-01-2009 09:30 AM

What method was used to flow match the nozzles? What was the tolerance allowed in percentage?

Diesel Dawgs Performance 11-01-2009 09:13 PM

If someone is interested in this info I will be glad to share it with them over the phone.

Smokem 11-01-2009 10:53 PM

You cannot release the LPM rating, and whether it was achieved by airflow or hydraulic flow? Somewhere in the range of 1900-2000 milliliters per minute with a tolerance +/- 1% using calibration fluid 40° celsius @ 100BAR?

You sure about that? Or did I give you a bogus number and you just agreed? Could it be they flow 3.8LPM with the same variables?

What do you have in mind buddy?

We can do CR Nozzles from DDP or Fireball Pros. We prefer to use new bodies on the CR injectors.

06 DIESEL 11-02-2009 06:15 PM

Maybe a set of 90 DDP's, I ain't got the coin for a set of new bodies also though.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

First of all I didn't delete the post because I can only delete my own posts. 2nd I did talk to someone over the phone and yes they were given an answer. I don't build my own injectors or claim to build them myself. I have someone that builds them so I don't have all the details available. I have sold lots of injectors from him and have yet to have an issues so I don't question how he builds them. They are $147 for a set of nozzles and they work quiet well. Are they the best injector maybe not but for the money they do what there made for.

Smokem 11-04-2009 09:56 AM

The answer given was you did not know the method used or the flow rate, you only "knew" they were balanced to within 1%. I was curious as to who manufactured the nozzles, Medallion or Bosch?

oklahoma_6speed 11-04-2009 11:16 AM

dang luke. wish you have done these earlier,.. when i need some.. but ohhh well.. ill tell them to get ahold of ya.. tho..

Diesel Dawgs Performance 11-04-2009 01:44 PM

Once again......

I told him they he tried to balance them to .5% but 1% at the most. I also told him my injector guy has a custom flow test machine that he built.

No Weston he does not use JL Nozzles such as yourself.

Smokem 11-04-2009 02:25 PM

Without knowing the control variables used as a standard measure, you cannot give a percentage of flow rate. In what method does he balance them, and by that I mean how does he increase the hone size? Or does he just mix and match the nozzles to get them to match within the set percentage? So they are not Bosch nozzles either, are they 8-hole?

Diesel Dawgs Performance 11-04-2009 03:16 PM

How about you post all your injector secrects for everyone to know Weston. Start a post and let us know in great length and detail how you build a set of injectors. I mean give us really detailed info including what methods you use, machines used, tools, testing equiptment, ect.

I want to learn you from you Weston. Since you are the "God" of Diesel Injectors. I want to know what kind of special work that you do to injectors that it takes you 6 hrs to build a set of VP44 injectors as you told me once in CompD Chat. Please show us the path to Injector Awsomeness.

Smokem 11-04-2009 03:41 PM

I tell my customers exactly what is done to them when they order them, never have hid any of that information. Flow rates are not a secret, DDP lists the liters per minute on their nozzles, even though the numbers are guaged by airflow not hydraulic flow. For example, a 5x0.010" Bosch mini sac nozzle flows 1.825 liters per minute using test fluid 40° Celsius @ 100BAR. I am just curious since you said you had the information to give, I take it they are Stage 1 Jammer nozzles.

Diesel Dawgs Performance 11-04-2009 03:50 PM

I gave the information I have available to me. I'm waiting in joy on your post your working on.

Smokem 11-04-2009 04:02 PM

I have heard from a few others that the Jammer sets are flow matched, just never got any numbers. I would be interested to see the flow results of a few different people's methods on the same nozzle, just to compare. If I were to send this gentleman a nozzle, could he give me a flow rating on it?

Diesel Dawgs Performance 11-04-2009 04:32 PM

I don't see why he wouldn't. But im sure the point to this would be so you can take his info and discredit it.

Jet A Fuel 11-04-2009 04:55 PM

to bad you dont have an ignore button luke.. lol
you mean to tell me luke. it dont take 6hr to build them.. ohhhhh my.well its wrong , all wrong..

Smokem 11-04-2009 07:06 PM

Too bad you don't have a clue Curtis. If you don't want to share his contact information Luke, it's no big deal.

Buck08 11-04-2009 07:33 PM

I have personally seen Weston build injectors. He takes his time and does them right. He has also shown me some other "brand name" nozzles and bodies that I will say I will never own!!I have bought 3 or 4 sets of injectors from him and will continue to buy from him.

This is why I like using the smaller guys to build my injectors. Seems there quality control is much better and they take pride in there work.

No, I think that everyone is entitled to there opinion.....But, when you leave an opionion in a thread that has nothing to do with the content of the thread....I mean c'mon your opinion on Weston's injectors has nothing to do with Luke's Bisiness...

It goes both ways as luke seems to have a opinon in all the other vendors threads.

Buck08 11-05-2009 09:36 PM

I agree with Kyle!
