looking into a new dmax

so heres the question of the day anything I should look out for in the 08 and 09 dmaxs? I know my 03 had a few issues but they were some what easy to deal with.

does anyone know if it is possible to get the 08 or 09 dmax with a manual trans? I know the older ones you could.

well thank you all again
:c:

Chris, I dont think the LMM's are available with the manual trans.. as far as I know they have all the same issues as the LBZ.. which is none.. lol unless someone has plugged up the DPF a few times.. due to an overfueling programmer.. :w2:

They are great, you should buy now. Save GM:argh: but they do not come in manny tranny

they stopped manual trannys in early 06

other than the dpf theyre a good truck

You can buy a manny tranny in Mexico lol:hd:
I don't know why GM discontinued the manual version, but it's not like they made very many in the first place. Of all the used trucks for sale I've seen, probably about 1 in 300 has the manual. I wish they made more 6 speeds, I really wanted one...but the Allison is a pretty stellar transmission.

THEY DONT OFFER THE MANUAL TRANS ANYMORE. THEY ARE GOOD TRUCKS IVE NOT SEEN ANY PROBLEM WITH THEM. IVE NOT SEEN ANY COME INTO THE SHOP WITH ANY PROBLEMS. I KNOW HERE AT THE DEALER SHIP THAT IM AT THEY GOT REALLY GOOD DEALS GOIN ON RIGHT NOW ON TRUCKS..

yea I was really hoping to get away from autos I hate them so much just before my accident my Allison started acting up. well I guess I am going to have to settle for an auto but I wish I could buy now but I cant even drive and the insurance stuff is still being dealt with on the old truck. :c:

How can the DPF make them bad trucks? I have had no issues with mine, I guess it is all what the definition of a good truck is huh?

I think you'll like the new 6 speeds though. The LMMs are pretty quick and built really well.

All the non DPF guys think they make it a worse truck. I do have a question what is the fuel mileage like with the DPF trucks because once again I dont know to many people with them and everyone is trying to use that to scare me away from them.
