dang these things are quiet

I was at work at Sonic today and I walked past a 6.7 and it took me about three passes to realize it was running! Granted there was some ambient noise but still.....

One thing I like about the LML is it still sounds like a diesel, they arent any quieter than the LMM's.

cool

I wish there was a sonic near me.

Guess that you won't wake up the neighbors with the 6.7 & as a side bonus, you can sneak on you wife when she cheating on you with the neighbor:tu:

I always thought the Wat-a-burgers were ok. Rods Sausage cheeseburgers are still number one in my book! Can't forget about Webers rootbeer, I forgot about the ol burger shck in the down town area behind where Chris Nickols used to be? I mis those places.

No comment about Sonic :w2:. But I agree with the quitness of these engines. I was doing a sales call at a local RV dealership and one crep pass me. I had to take a second look to see weather it was a gasser or not. I know H&S has some vids on this truck with all the deletes and it's still pretty quiet. Especially compared to my a stock 6.4. I guess that's the way Ford designed it to please the treehuggers :moon:

My neighbor has one and when he takes off and stands on it going up the hill it sounds like a jet taking off. :c:

No hippies love vw diesel and treehuggers love toyota prius'/ any subaru(cause it's a ruged suv to take me to my tree, wait it's a car for the 99.99% of time I spend in the city, wait it's japanese so its reliable) lol I still haven't seen a jap vehicle reach much pass 500k miles.....Back on topic.

Mike Rowe promotes that they are quiet so you can leave them running and still have a normal conversation while standing next to it. Strange thing is with how loud he is I could still hear him fine when he was standing next to the dmax. :humm:

The engines out there are great for trucks. What they need to do is start investigating into more diesel suv's, 1/2 ton trucks, and cars. Dimlar(not spelled right) did it with Jeep and sold out of them as fast as they could bring them into production. Then companies start looking at batteries...here's your sign.

I'm a tangent maker! :hellox:
