I have to pop in on your thread again...Correct me if I'm wrong but this truck was being heavly modified befor you bought it. just seems like the worng shit was done , and then dumped..ummmmm.. like i said that electrial shit is touchy with the wrong parts, from the after market...70 DAYS THO... wow maybe a new shop is in order
|
is it in the dealership or at a shop? I'd say it'd almost be worth taking it to a different dealership or something, these trucks are not that complex, there's only so many things that can be wrong

just a fallow up. now they are wanting to change out the BCM so another $520 bringing the total to $2331.80.. (i could do so many mods with that money) and still no gaurantee that it will run. this is the last time my truck will ever visit a dealership. they dont know so they just throw parts at it until hopefuly something works.

I just HATE going to the stealer, be it a factory dealer or an independent.
They've already racked up $1800+ and you're truck DOESN'T EVEN RUN! That tells me they don't have a clue about what they're doing. And they want you to spend $500+ more, and it probably will be $1000 more before they're done, IF this is the fix they're looking for. If not, who knows where it will end. I can't believe that this isn't against some law. They're fixing stuff that isn't broken AND THEY KNOW IT. They put in the new fuse box and that didn't work; they proved that wasn't the problem. I recently had my Altima in the shop (private) and told them that I had an injector that wasn't working and wanted it replaced. They changed the distributor cap, the rotor, the spark wires, the spark plugs, the fuel filter, the gas cap and a few other things. When I arrived to pick it up, they presented me the bill and told me that I would have to take it to NISSAN to get the injector fixed! Well, I didn't pay the bill at that garage; didn't go to NISSAN; and I put the injector myself and the cost was $58 and took me about an hour. Your garage isn't doing much better, I'm sorry to say. I feel your pain. |
just a quick update. truck SHOULD be done today. i have my hopes up. its only costing me $2300 for a $520 fix. i will update as soon as i know something

still not running. i spent 2 hours yesterday breathing down the techs back. he pulled off another truck to finaly get back to work on mine. BCM is in and everything on the tech2 says it is working but still not getting relay to work. hopefully monday. i feel like he needs to hang up with the gm tech line and start tracing wires. there are only about 3 wires in question. i dont think it could be that hard
