Easy stuff first: air filter and fuel filter. those are normally the 2 most common cuplrits. If you are tinkering under the hood, pull the MAF sensor and clean it with spray carb cleaner. Make sure it completely dries before you put it back in. Don't need a run away ;)

I have just changed all filters and upgraded the air filter to a L&M where is the MAF sensor located?

Just past the air filter, on top of the intake duct. 2 screws hold it in. Take it out, clean it with spray carb cleaner, let it dry and put it back in.

There have been some problems with EGRs sticking a little and causing problems. Are you seeing excessive black smoke from the tail pipe?

no more than I've seen before not like my 98 6.5 turbo that smokes most of the time, but my 06 maybe I should look into the EGR valve?

EGR's have been known to go bad on the LBZ, but usually set a code. On the same hand, I've seen strainger things happen.

It's suppose to, BUT as with all other computer controled devices, sometimes it doesn't.

How long has it been like this? should have set codes if there was a problem... Did you get some bad fuel? Maybe it clogged the filter a bit an just not enough to thro on the change filter light... with a stock tune it takes a lot to set a code...So what is it doin down shifting , boggin?

A friend of mine just bought an 06 Classic. He had some power issues and it was blowing a lot of black smoke. Another 06 owner suggested he remove the cat, muffler and run a straight pipe. He did and problem went away. They believe the cat was clogged. :jump:

I just noticed the info on the right and I got $600 casino cash whatever that means! Will some give me a postal money order in the amount of $200 for that $600? :tu:
