FUEL RAIL CODE

Hey everybody my 07 LBZ is throwing a low fuel rail pressure code. I ordered a ppe plug that increases the volume but not pressure but they sent me their race valve. I'm debating whether or not to put this race valve in or let them send me the right part. This is a daily driver/work truck/drag truck so is it worth it or will the rail pressure be to high. Any suggestions or advice is very much appreciated thanx and god bless:)

get a shim kit and a ported fitting instead, assuming you are having a p1093 code, i had the same issue, could be a dirty fuel filter too...

2500HeavyDuty 05-06-2010 10:02 PM

lbz should not have a problem with the p1093, theyre designed to run 26kpsi from factory.

it could be a bad filter

dieselpowermark 05-07-2010 12:44 AM

we have a stacked program right now and if u stay on it over 3 seconds the code pops. but my ? is should I run the valve or the fitting I ordered. I have the valve but I ordered the fitting. would fuel volume increase help or should i just use the valve?

2500HeavyDuty 05-07-2010 10:39 AM

well if you stack programs its already commanding a high enough psi, and then add a lrge pulewidth and even more rail pressure it probably wont be able to hold it

dieselpowermark 05-07-2010 06:22 PM

but my ? is which would be better for it to put on the ported fitting or the race valve?

2500HeavyDuty 05-07-2010 08:47 PM

theyre both completly different components

you wont see any noticable or even a little gain with the ported valve ad you can do that yourself.

the rave valve ive been told leaks a little, and fwiw adding some shims does the same thing

dieselpowermark 05-07-2010 08:53 PM

well will it help with the p1093 code

2500HeavyDuty 05-07-2010 08:58 PM

what are you stacking. the p1093 can be caused by alot of things, tuning and mechanical prblems

dieselpowermark 05-07-2010 09:04 PM

a superchips with something BD I cant release what it is because its experimental. It did wake it up alot

2500HeavyDuty 05-07-2010 10:01 PM

take the superchips off and see how it does, and when was the last time the fule filter was changed

dieselpowermark 05-07-2010 10:09 PM

changed fuel filter yesterday and I want the superchips on for the drag racing part. like I said I race it pull with it and play on the street with people so my only ? is which 1 is the best the race valve or fitting thats all.

2500HeavyDuty 05-10-2010 09:43 PM

theyre boh completly different parts of the common rail system, they arent even located in the same place or to the same job

Release Valve Shim Kit [1130720] - $9.99 : Pacific Performance Engineering, Innovations in Diesel Performance

that is your best bet, like 2500 said ive heard of there race fuel valve leaking. I got the shim kit and fixed the problem but i do have the lly. Also Stacked Chips might not be the best idea even if the truck is for "drag racing" you wont be going to the track when it goes boom because of too many programers

Zecherc 05-17-2010 08:57 PM

a race valve cant be useful unless you have something to move that much fuel... a ported fitting just opens your lines a little more for more free flow. less restriction means more power..... run the fitting or get a pump and run the valve. there is your answer.....

Hey guys im not sure how this works just signed up 2mins ago. Well i have a 2006 6.6L LBZ 4x4. Only up grades i have are: Edge juice module with attitude monitor and turbo bk exhaust. Still under warranty.

My questions are:

1. I have just noticed that my warm up/glow plug indicator light has not been coming on at all. It has been hot as usual here in central texas but i was sure it came on before in the past. It dose sound different at sart, like its having just a lil trouble. I have got no trouble codes on my monitor. So is this normal or is my glow plugs out?

2. I came across this site while doing research on the P1093, P0087 trouble code. Yes i am having the same problem and i know this is a common question but what i noticed is that everyone who asked about it had very modified trucks and lots of upgrades. My truck is a tool not a toy (no offense i would if i could) Its a daily driver and work truck. I would suggestions I have it now getting the fuel filter changed first. I did put my edge on stock and got the same lag effect. I have read some on the PPE fuel valve. Would this be safe in my situation?

Truck has 50,000 miles on it and has had the the upgrades from day one.

Thanks for the help,
Johnnymax

P1093 is the more critical code and you will need a ppe race plug for that one. And the p0087 that would be for a shim kit. If you fix the p1093 you will fix the p0087. And as for the glow plugs since your in central texas i doubt they would come on since its hot out all the time.

Fuel rail code

Thanks man!!!

With my moderate upgrades i shouldn't build dangerous pressure levels with that race plug right? I mean i dont race it just haul n occasionally pass some Sunday drivers.lol

I understand the valve in there is like a pressure relieve valve so eliminating the relieve makes more pressure.

I see you have an add under your sig. So i can order parts from you? Also i was wondering what would be a good fuel additive for my max?

Thanks
John

You should have pressure issues since you are not running dual fuelers. Yeah you can order through us. Heres a link to our site https://www.alligatorperformance.com/index.php. Or give us a call at 1-866-255-7212 and ask for Scott or Holton

Johnnymax 08-25-2010 01:10 PM

o man what are dual fuelers? I was just hoping that the race plug was cheap easy fix. I don't want to monster up my truck because i really have no need for speed. lol I just want my baby to run like she used to.

Can you possibly break down or elaborate a little more on your thinking of my situation?

Thanks Man:c:

Duel fuelers are when you run 2 cp3 injection pumps. The race plug will fix your problems and the codes you are having. You would need to do alot to your truck to require running dual pumps

Johnnymax 08-25-2010 03:35 PM

Sheewwww thanks man. I thought i was guna have to dump alot of money into this this fix. I was kind of excited that the fix would be only 50 bucks:jump: hey man any recommendations on Lube products and fuel additives?:humm:

Thanks so much for letting me pick you brain man. :c:

Prolly like a stanadyne type conditioner. Or like a flash lube type conditioner for getting lubricity back into the diesel

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

rbp is really good too. RBP 80001HP 16oz. Diesel Fuel Additive
