too far to the right (top view) to be the water pump. i'm fairly certain its a gasgut, but i need to know where i can find a parts illisration so i know which gasgut to get, unless its one of those things where i can put some "make a gasgut" on it and call it good.

Since that gasket would be under pressure, you probably want a solid one. You should be able to go to the dealership and get the correct gaskets. X2 on the water pump. Take the lower rad hose off and check for play in the impeller with a screwdriver. I think AllDataDIY.com might have an illustration, but otherwise I think you'd have to get a factory manual.

You do know the water pump is not attached to the fan pully, correct? it is a bit to the dr side of the engine and internally gear driven. Kind of exactly where you made a circle in your first pic.

Yep thats it, the "just answer" site is an exact pic of what i am looking at. called the dealership and they have the gasgut for $5.86........ looks like i have a long weekend ahead of me. :argh: Next question is, how much coolant will the entire system hold? im guessing somewhere around 3 gallons but if anyone has any better insight, please run it by me.
