ok guys got my 04.5 lly running good after the starter issuses but now it is time to continue in my mods....

so far i have an edge programmer i have my cold air and a 4'' exhaust down pipe back. i ran it on the dyno and she put out 404hp at the wheels. i loike the number but i want more. im looking tward doing a fuel system upgrade but i wanna make sure my trans can handle the extra power. what are some basic trans builds to make it 600 hp ready... also im gonna get a PPE line to control my boost better should i get head studds right away?

I suggest EFI tuning, then you can tune your turbo boost any way you want to

a suncoast GMax 5pac kit with a 1056 converter, that will make you reliable well past 600hp

Studs wouldnt be a bad idea, but your gona need more turbo boost in order to get 600hp, i would get a bigger turbo and run it with the stocker in a compound setup

Your stock head bolts are good to around 40-45 psi after that then look at studs. Your stock turbo shouldn't push anything over about 40 psi.

Like the gentelman above said. EFIlive, Build trans, and add a lift pump in there and your right around 525-550 depending on how well your CP3 can hold rail pressure.

should i get whole new trans build or just a converter for now?

If you are going through the trouble of pulling the trans for a converter, build it or have it build. 60hp over stock will smoke the C5 clutches in a short period of time.

definitely going to have to look at getting more air in the engine, the stock one wont have enough to make it. stock turbo you dont want to boost it past 35 if you want that booger to last long

the trans a gmax5 kit with a good converter will hold.
