01 Transfer Case Model???
I've got a 01 2500HD LB7 4wd... How/where do i find the model and/or assembly number(s) on the transfer case? Thanks
|
There is a round tag on the back of the t-case, near the drive shaft area. It will say New Process...bla bla bla
|
why do you need the T-case #?
|
well, i guess my lack of knowledge would be there reason... I don't need the transfer case digits... :argh: sorry for the mix up... (btw, i did find the info on the t. case)
From my minimal research, i guess i meant the differential or front gear box (4wd - front drive mechanism) :w2: Anywho, the reason being is i wanted to find a diagram of the thing to better understand how it all works and how the actuator engages/disengages... I wanted to get some general knowledge of it... Im a mad D.I.Y.er just cause i love it... |
I believe because there are two different types of transfer cases. One with Auto 4wd and one without auto 4wd.
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Also Brianwhiteram is correct. Simple little round tag on the backside of the t case. Usually metal with red writing on it. |
:argh:

American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) - Front Axles theres not a lot of info here, but I couldnt find much.. im sure if you poke around on the internet long enough you could find more info:c: Its Brite whiteram btw... :yeah: |
