Hard starting 6.5

My '95 6.5 is starting hard. It will start, but it wants to cough, sputter, and blow smoke for a few seconds before it smooths out. It seems to be worse when it is cool out. I have owned this truck for 14 years and it has never done tis before. Checked all glowplugs and lift pump. Checked the codes and it is setting seven of them, here they are: DTC 19, 23, 45, 58, 66, 71, 93. Any help would be much appreciated.

could be a bad glow plug relay
could be airlocked check your fuel lines

i check all grounds with them codes

Grounds 2 or 3 wires at back right on intake one on top IP one on right fender and there 2 ground starps on back right right under A/C dryer on fire wall one goes to back of the head and the other to the frame

I would also clear all codes see if it comes back

Replaced fuel lines, Oil Pressure Switch, and Crankshaft Position Sensor a few months ago. Just got done checking all grounds and they checked out OK.

I can give you the codes from my book if that will help.

I have the code descriptions, but I'm not sure what to do with them.

My 6.5 is doing the same

Where you ever able to get this sorted out? My 95 6.5 is doing the samething.

I'm still having trouble with it. I took it to the local "diesel mechanic" and he couldn't figure it out either. He tried to tell me that it was my starter dragging. I didn't buy that, but I did take my starter off and have it tested just to be sure. I have been keeping it plugged in and it starts much better. But you shouldn't ever have to plug in a diesel if its only 60 degrees.

I have a 1995 Chevy Tahoe that has a 6.5 tb. It does the same thing, especially in cold weather. Did you ever figure out the issue?

I used to work at a place with a 3500hd service truck with a 6.5 and it always started in the winter but ran like a bag of poo for a bit unless it was plugged in. i think this is normal but the codes should be investigated
