broken screws in injection pump cover

I was removing the 3 small flat head screws from the injection pump cover. 2 out of the 3 broke off, about 1mm form the base. Any suggestions on how to get these out, or should I replace the IP?

:ouch:Ouch, try a reverse drill center punch the screw and use a reverse drill the size you would need to rethread and retap for the screws. Its not a cake walk and will take a bit of skill, just be careful and take your time and if done properly you will save your self some money. I say to use a reverse drill because sometimes you get lucky and it pulls the screw out but you can use a regular drill bit if you choose.

I had to do the samething to a distributor on an 87 civic when replacing the cap and rotor. $300 for a new distributor from Japan is not an option because the car isn't worth that much. :argh:
