Q's about a 6.5
Alright guys i am getting a 1995 Chevy 2500 6.5 turbo diesel ext. cab short bed, i was wondering what kind of mpg's you guys are getting in these things if you take it easy and also what all upgrades would help greatly in increasing my mpgs for a cheaper price.:tu:

these trucks can get some good fuel mpg out them
1st all get rid stock exhaust and got with 3" down pipe 4'" back will help good injectors clean air system and oil changes will help |
i got 16.5 on my last tank all the city though. but i have 3.42 gears so it keeps the rpms down
What kind of mods you got, also how much does it cost you to fill up and how long does a full tank last you usually lol sorry for all the akward questions but thanks for the reply's
mods are in my signature below my posts. i filled up when diesel was 3.99 so it was about 90 bucks for around 23 gallons. tank usually lasts me anywhere from 360-400 miles depending on how i drive and if i filled my tank all the way to the top. i usually average mid 15s to high 16s mpg

well the way i look at this if you want fuel miles buy car get you 50 miles to gal i tow my tow my 5th wheel that wgt out 16,500lbs i don't care what i get because it doing the job
i would but i need something to be an everyday driver and something to take off road also and have some fun lol
Then fuel mpg"s shouldn't not matter if you want play that how field about it
But they do becuase im 16 and play sports
i got a 95 sierra.if i take it easy, say drive 55-60mph i get about 17-18.5 mpg's.mods are on my signature and i don't beat on it.i got a new engine in it,so no it's not going hard core wheeling.that's what i got my short box 77 chevy 4wd on 35's. it gets spendy when you start beating on stuff. not that i don't trust mine off road,i have taken it through the woods,is just not for hardcore wheeling.
