My best one i had was a 96 1/2 6.5 turbo diesel sidestep was getting 21mpg when empty highway driving.

Change chip to #5 and take filter of the injection pump harness. That sh increase ur mpg if u don't have issues. And if ur not running a turbo master ur always gonna have boost issues. I made my own tm

I've never had many issues with the stock setup.

Depends on what you are doing. If you ever need a new turbo, I'd go HX or quadstar. Quadstar is a very reliable vendor for 6.5 diesel stuff

Do not do a turbo master without a gauge.

X2 on removing the optic filter harness if you have one
