if it was injector return lines there would be fuel pissing out but it would still run wouldn't it?

daniel are you talking about that T bleeder? it's closed.

the PMD is only there until i get the thing going again.

i will check the fuel filter manager and tell you what i find. this is really starting to bug me because i can't find why this leak would start and all of a sudden the truck doesn't start.

but thanks guys i'll keep you posted

reel, where would i find the fuel shut off solenoid?

pdocontario 06-02-2014 07:43 AM

i should clarify the thing isn't firing over at all, sounds like a dry stroke, but there's fuel going all down the passenger side of the block while i'm turning it over

On a 1996 there should be a spade connector between the firewall and the under hood fuse box.
They can be hard to find but they are there. You can jumper that wire to hotwire your lift pump. If you get fuel running with the lift pump jumpered that should tell you that the leak is before the injection pump.

The fuel shut off solenoid is on top of the injection pump - next to the pump mounted PMD

swithed out pmd and all of a sudden won't start.

just checked all the fuses they're all good.

is this my solenoid? if so i don't think it's leaking from herehttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/03/e3eteraq.jpg

went out this morning hopelessly making an effort to start it, first turn over it sputtered like it got a shot of fuel for a sec but then fell back into it's 'dry' repetitive turn over. this is frustrating.

Have you hotwired the lift pump and let it run to check for a leak?

To make sure the lift pump is working?

To assist in starting?
