Yea thats what I was thinking, now the question is which glow plugs work best in these engines?

Bosch duratherm are the best glow plugs available bar none.

Could also be injectors leaking into cylinders overnight...if gp dnt fix problems id try new injectors. if injectors leak and problem isnt fixed could crack/ melt a piston..usually when you do fire it up and theyre bad theyll make a popping /ticking noise..hard to hear over the valvetrain noise though.

Injectors leaking overnight usually cause a LOT of smoke on startup.

I do have a LOT of smoke on startup, I know for a fact I need glow plugs but the injectors could possibly be leaking too after I change the glow plugs I'm gonna check all the injectors
