Movies that you love, but others would laugh at you for...

I thought this might be a fun thread... My mother made me watch a lot of weird movies when I was a kid, got to the point that I started to love them...

Operation Petticoat

Father Goose (Chelsea HATES this one)

Some Like It Hot

Mr Roberts

And one that's on today...

Road House

I know this is cheezy and so not in season, but I have my mom to thank for this one...

White Christmas with Bing Crosby:pca1:

cougar 05-08-2011 09:40 AM

Spaced Invaders. Midgets in Martian suits.
Charley the lonesome cougar. It's a cat thing.
Beethoven, all of them. If life is going to the dogs, go big.

Probably an age thing, but I like the old classic movies also.

smokeeaterlb7 05-08-2011 11:24 AM

The notebook.... Enough said.

i am pretty sure i should be arrested for even thinking about the dirty things i would do to her

sootnsmoke 05-08-2011 12:55 PM

Malibu's Most Wanted, Under Cover Brother, Airplane. Lots of replay value and classic dialog

95powersmoker 05-08-2011 06:55 PM

In all seriousness though, Armageddon is probably my favorite movie of all time...

chromehound 05-08-2011 10:19 PM

Some of my favorites - The Rock, Cowboy Way, Open Range, The Last Samari, Serenity, Firefly series, Band of Brothers

Man I haven't seen Spaced Invaders in years, gonna have to find it now :tu:

kazairl 05-08-2011 11:06 PM

Ain't nutin wrong with Firefly.

I'll add Farscape to the list. All my friends laugh at me for watching it so I guess that counts.

BRE 05-09-2011 02:22 AM

Juno, avatar, the curious case of Benjamin Button, all the harry potters... all i can think of right now.

cdiesel 05-10-2011 10:14 PM

rocky horror picture show. yep. lots of weird looks and laughs about that one.

Deezel Stink3r 05-11-2011 12:59 PM

Super Troopers, Equilibrium

KD93 05-11-2011 04:23 PM

It's been years since I saw what I would consider a classic movie. James Bond with Sean Connery, Clint Eastwood's spaghetti westerns, (Hang 'Em High, Fistfull of Dollars etc.) The first Jaws, Das Boot... Ooh, I got one that I love but most folks seem to think is a bit gay is Dances With Wolves, (directors cut! :jump:)

KillStroker 05-12-2011 09:47 AM

Dear John "Im no longer a perfect coin" gets me everytime. I need a group hug.

Not my favourite, but watchable.:tu:

DieselCrawler 05-12-2011 11:05 AM

the butterfly effect is another one that comes to mind.

KillStroker 05-12-2011 12:53 PM

I would second the Notebook... Brings a tear to my eyes...

Farmboy 2.0 05-12-2011 02:44 PM

cougar 05-12-2011 06:26 PM

cummins freak 05-12-2011 06:44 PM

I will laugh at you for this one. That movie sucked something awful. And tried so hard to be a good movie, but the truth of the matter is, it was a joke. It was not worht the price of admission to the theater, nor the price it cost to buy the movie. Yes, I watched it, I even gave it a second shot after i watched it in the theater. Still sucked just as bad as the first time.

cowgirl-up 05-12-2011 08:11 PM

Any "B" scifi movie, The cheesier the better. Also musicals like little shop of horrors and rocky horror picture show.
