My wifes rig...

She changes her own oil, wash, wax, schedules all her own maintance... Its her truck. She doesnt drive the great big bitch (my truck) much because its loud as hell, hard to start, fails at random times and is generally a great big bitch... |

Mine has driven my 67 Oldsmobile Vert, but not the truck yet, no doubt if she wants to she can, but her being 5'1" and the truck having 15" of lift, I doubt she'll want to much. She says she used to love her expedition though

|
alot of them have driven the dmax. none have driven the ford. they are scared of it. lol
|
I taught my girl how to drive a manual in my truck, and she cant get enough of it... She says its got a bit more torque than her Sebring...:rocking: Cummins-1 Sebring-NONE

Last GF I had liked my truck but never wanted to drive it because at the time it was a 6 speed with a SBC DD clutch and she was all of 5'2"
About the only female I have to worry about trying to steal my truck right now is my sister.

man you are lucky. mine wont even drive my truck. i told her i dont care if she doesnt have a licence but she ran and refused to drive it. and its a handshaker. oh well when the powerstroke gets put in she doesnt have a choice and i know she still wont have a licence
|
No license??
|
dam straight lol but i dont see a problem with it. i drove it for 3 months on a suspended licence
|
As long as ya dont have an encounter with an officer, they have grounds to haul you to jail for that kind of stuff around here :humm:
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Heck Ive been drivin since I was 8, but it was always on dirt roads. Never touched a highway til I got my license. |
i drove everywhere. i said F*** the law. i drove everywhere. looking back it wasn't my best plan but i'd probably do it again. it wasnt my fault i lost it anyway. if you go 68 in a 35 should your licence be taken away? No. i was runnin late. actually no i wasnt i was bored but still. licences are pointless
|
Living in a place where everything is a 20 min drive minimum, Not having a license is just weird to me. :s:

Yes it was your fault and your license being taken away would depend more on the circumstances. With your attitude? Damn straight it should have been taken away. |
about my attitude. have you ever seen the dukes of hazard? the cops in my town are kinda like that except i pull over. i lost it really because i was dating a cop's daughter and they had a reason

Anyways I think this is officially db's dumbest thread ever. I'm amazed by the amount of women who can't drive a standard or are "still trying to learn". I learned to drive a standard because I bought one, Its not exactly rocket science. My husband let me drive his truck the first day I met him. I know just as many men that can't drive as I know women that can't drive. Heck the two accidents I have been in were caused by men who weren't paying attention. |

Actually, I'm thinking you lost it for doing 68 in a 35. You and your girlfriend sound like winners.

I just sold my 97 12 valve. My wife cried. She said," Theres just something about that truck." I said,"Was it the 450 horses and 1202lb/ft of torque you miss?" She said yes, and I said I know. Its not as easy on these new ones to get that kinda power. I was probably stupid for getting rid of it, but it made a heck of a down payment on my 05. She likes to drive it too, she said that she gets alotta looks in it. i said I bet you do!! You scratch it I'll kill ya!! Then all is good!:jump:

You are a lucky guy. reminds me of my Gf, shes damn good at working in tight places. doing things that i would otherwise remove ten things around it just to get to it. she helped me with some egr blocker plates over the weekend, she made it a breeze. |

My girlfriend loves to drive my truck, she calls it "her lover", lol. And she can drive the hell out of it, she rows gears better than most guys i know too. Then again her ride is a 12V 5 speed, and her truck before that was a flatbed F-450, so i dont have to worry about her driving, lol, I got one of the good ones.

So I'll revive this thread with a pic of my gf driving my cummins 6 speed. We've been together 3 years and i finally taught her how to drive it this weekend. Now she wants to drive it everywhere we go.

Your truck and Your girl
Well it ain't of her driving but it's her with MY truck. She has told me I can just give it to her now and I drive the flatbedhttp://tapatalk.com/mu/aefd57ab-c9d2-39ca.jpg

I personally don't let many drive my rig, I would rather get some road dome. Much more fun and less stressful.:tu: |
My girlfriend has driven mine around the yard a couple of times. I make her move it alot when I'm working on something. She used to love my truck. When we would be apart for college she would sometimes miss the truck more then she missed me. Now this summer it left us an hour from home after the master cylinder for the clutch broke in the middle of a town and just some other minor issues locally. Now she doesn't trust it to go anywhere and almost refuses to ride it. I am regaining her confidence in the cummins and she is coming around. She just hasn't learned yet that broken parts on a built truck are common.

Man, you guys have to let your other halfs drive your truck? Mine bought her own. Shes had a 97 Dodge ext cab long bed 5 speed. 96 Ford F-350 power stroke, 03 Dodge 3500 single cab dually on 37's and she currently has a 2010 Ford F-450 King ranch. All bought and paid for by her, well shes still paying on the 450 lol.
|
