Anyone Try This???
 

My kids have something like this at school. They design the countries layout and choose the names, population info, everything about the country they are building. They are setting up holidays and schools. All kinds of things.

I'm not sure what it teaches them, but they sure enjoy it. They bring home maps and other statistics on a bi-weekly basis. It's been running since the beginning of school.

Having just gone through Thanksgiving, they had to buy food for the country.
They had to hire farmers to grow the turkeys.

Pretty neat stuff...

back when i was in high school a game called earth 2025 was popular, and i typed earth2025.com into my browser and apparently it is still around only it is way more extreme than anything i ever remembered-

we had oregon trail........

simcity and oregon trail.

Oregon Trail...WOOHOO. I would always shoot like a ton more meat than we could keep.

Amen to oregon trail. On them old school green screened apple computers.

Also had sim city, and sim city 2k once it came out. oh, and cant forget sim ant!

I was always a fan of doing this too. lol no wonder the buffalo is so rare.

Them were the good old days......... :U:

my school couldnt afford simcity, i graduated in 03, i remember having a computer in my 1st grade classroom, we had the game "word munchers"......
