Looking at pistols
Within the next few weeks I am planning on buying a pistol. The reason I'm saying within the next few weeks is that I have to buy batteries for the truck and I hoping to be able to buy them next week. Anyway, are there any good or decent 9mm, .40, or .45 out there for like less than $200? I've been checking out the Hi Points but I don't really care for how they feel. My friend has a 9mm and the grip is almost too small for my hand and with the heavy bulky slide, it just feels weird to hold, imo. Are there any other cheap but good ones out there? I'd prefer an auto loader but will check out revolvers as well. Thanks.

200.00 for a 9mm. thats gonna be tuff. i would think the best cheapest gun in a 9mm semi would be the keltec pf9 or p11....if you decide to go for a revolver look into the taurus or charter arms. there again thats the best of the bottom....what are you looking to do with the gun? target , home defense , conceal carry. are you a big guy with big bear paws?

Wow. Hope things work out for you if you need anything let me know.

I know its going to be hard to find something so cheap. I'm an averaged size guy with average size hands. I don't want a real small gun and I've noticed that most of the keltecs are small frame guns. It'll be a target, defense gun and probably conceal carried when I get my license. Just basically an all around gun. My shotgun is a bit big and bulky to pack around all the time lol
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- I might be able to go a little higher than $200, it would just take me a bit longer to get the money for something more expensive. Any opinions on EAA firearms? I found a SIG knock-off, basically, made by European American Arms(EAA) for $290 on CheaperThanDirt.com that I like the features of. Its a 9mm, ambidextrous safety and mag release, 15 round capacity, etc. 54984 - EAA Zastava EZ Semi-Automatic Handgun 9mm 4" Barrel 15 Rounds Aluminum Frame Blued Finish |
I would say save your pennies till you have enough to buy a decent gun. While you're saving, go to some ranges and try out as many as you can. Get a "feel" for what EXACTLY whay you want. This way, you're not buying another pistol 6 months later cause your first one "just doesn't cut it anymore". Good luck! BTW I wound up liking the S&W M&P.

I would spent 300 bucks more for a glock but thats just my opinion and theyre a trusted brand

Yep save up and get a quality pistol.

How about a quality pistol for $270? S&W .40 but the kicker is its a used police gun. Here's the link, check it out and let me know what you think. Used Smith & Wesson SW40E Police Trade In $269.00 SHIPS FREE

go for a good used glock. you will be happier overall with a quality pistol compared to some Russian made junk that only cost 200 bucks. If not a glock, my second choice would a springfield XD.
