Wiring up a prank
SO Im sure you guys may have heard the prank where you rig up the brakes to the horn, that way every time they push the brake the horn goes off.:rocking:
Any tips on doing this? Also I have heard you can hook it up to the turn signal lol I want to try it out but have no clue on where to start. Thanks for the help! |
Not sure how to do it, but i would be a very angry little man if someone started splicing wires on my truck. might wanna reconsider if the person has a nice truck.
Now, if its just a pos car that the owner care about, GO FOR IT!! |
Some folks just have to much wasted time in life
|
I had a dog one time that chewed up 2 sets of trailer wiring harness under my truck, needless to say I was :dang:... Id be even more angry if someone decided to screw with my wires on purpose as a joke. Id think twice if its a nice vehicle as stated above..
|
Unplug the hot wire from the horn, take a piece of wire with a spade connector on it plug it on the horn. Run your wire back to the firewall and find a grommet where you can stick it through. Under dash with a test light dont probe any wires check at connector and figure out wich wire on brake pedal switch gets hot when you depress brake pedal. Unplug connector and stick your stripped wire in the right spot, plug it back in and you're done with no spliced wires. If your buddy dosn't have a good sense of humor and can kick your arse, you might wan't to think twice. :c:

:jump::jump::jump:HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH Epic.:jump::jump:

I like the turn signal idea. especally if you can take out one of the light bulbs. this makes the signal tick even faster:moon:
:bat:But you would either have to have a really good natured buddy or be a really $h!ty friend to actually do this :ouch: |
Thank you TireMann!
But yes guys hes a laid back guy and probably would love it. Hes got a good sense of humor. |
if its a older go for it. If not dont do it last guy that i knew that did it ended up frying his buddys ecu and some other stuff. I think the repair bill was like 4grand

If he pulls a trailer a lot swap one of the signal wires with the brakes in his trailer connector. Full trailer brakes every flash.
|
I agree with tireman just plug the wires into the back of the socket on both ends and no wire splicing :jump: that is hilarious me and a couple of buddys were just talking along these same lines the other day and also had discussed the same thing that redrammer had mentioned with the turn signals and the trailer brakes too hahahaahaha let us know how it turns out for ya!!
|
:jump: that's is a great joke with the right person, you know this is also the perfect opportunity for a hidden camera. :pca1::w2:

it is funny as hell to do to someone. we did it hear at work to our service writers car. 06 cad dts it was funny as hell to watch her in the car.... priceless....
|
just get a trailer plug, a old horn, hook a magnet on the horn,
wire the horn to the yellow or the green wire, and a ground wire with alligator clip from the horn body hook the clip to a bolt on the frame plug it in his trailer plug :hellox: I would think it would work. and you can take it off and use it again |
What we do at work is put a few 10" heavy duty zip ties on other guys drive shafts. Loud, funny, and simple

Re: Wiring up a prank
^^^yep I have heard of that.
I cant ever find any big and thick enough to make a sound. Where did u get yours? And im going to wire up this prank somtime soon. Maybe ill film it lmao. Sent from my Droid |
we have tons at our shop, they are used on power poles for the cable lines. if you use the standard ties 6" i think and dubble them up near the tranny/t case they will hit the frame or cross members
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- try gemplers.com they have the 14" ties |
Re: Wiring up a prank

stick on wheel weights on the inside of tire will bug ya, but if really dont like them stick em on driveshaft, or harmonic balancer. throw everything outa balance.

im doing this 2 my bro tomorrow! thx tireman :w2:

If you guys don't know enough about wiring to know how to wire horns to brake lights, I don't know if you should pursue that form of prank...
|
one we used to do takes a little longer. we did it to a buddies endro car. installed a micro switch on throttle. wired it to the wiper sprayers. whenever he was at 1/2 throttle or more(which is alot during an endro) the sprayers squirted him(no windsheild). he was soaked when his car quit running due to the ignition getting sprayed as well.
also did one to a group of guys we used to drag race with. they broke early and left the track to go drink off their sorrows. when we went out we met up with them at the bar for dinner. after we got done we walked out to the truck, and seen theirs sitting there. walked over, unhooked chains and light cord and picked the trailer up just off the ball. then we left. they drove half way home(2.5 hr ride) before noticing not having the trailer back there. |
Re: Wiring up a prank
