After many years in architecture, structural engineering, structural steel fabrication/erection and general construction management, I put myself as far from construction as I could get. Turns out it wasn't too far. I now work for a very large worldwide company that provides on site services management. My team works in facilities management and travels to new accounts in North America and does an onsite inventory of all locations and assets the facility engineers might maintain. We take this inventory, build a database and upload it into our web based software that provides the end users a PM and work order scheduler. In the end it also provides reports/feedback on all of their equipment and buildings to help them make upgrade decisions to lower their overhead.

When I'm not out of town on business, I am a carpenter, landscaper, equipment operator, hay hauler, horse shoer, or whatever else needs to be done around here.:s:
