Pressure Washers

Just bought a 1800 psi electric pressure washer today.

Weve got a 2 story house and Im wanting something that will wash the upper level.

Do you guys think I should have went with a gas washer? I really dont want to jack around with a gas engine.

Are the electric washers junk ? What do you think guys?

If you bought the same blue washer I did last year, don't remember the brand right now, it's total junk.

I have a yellow one and it's pretty good.

electric I assume?

This is the one - http://www.karcherresidential.com/en...aram2=&param3=

Paid $150 and it was originally $200.

I dunno.

mines electric (which is funny seeing as to how it's a WATER pressure washer) :scare2:

Depends on how dirty the 2nd story is. If you're cleaning siding, you're going to have to erect scaffolding; the 45-60° flat spray nozzles won't clean from too far away. Even with a gas washer. If you just need to blast with the 0° orifice it'll be a toss up between the two.

:humm: Ok good to know. I guess Im maybe expecting too much??

You spent $150 for a pump that produces 10 times as much pressure at about the same flow as a pump that Cooling Mist or Snow would sell for the same price. Now you just need an inverter, nitrous solenoid, transfer pump, some good line, high pressure check valve, nozzle and some sort of control system and you'll have one heck of a water injection system.

Ive got an inverter... :yeah:

Doc- that was wasting money at its finest. the kärchers are ok. the pressure is on the low side beeing enough for a serious car wash.

But if you want pressure- get a Nilfisk! They will blast your paint off without any special nozzles.
I just wanted to clean the underside and it blasted off the under coating.:s:

don't forget that Kärcher has also a commercial line- much more pricey than those K or M models.
Can't you rent a washer? It will run you cheaper than getting a new one.
