Link worked for me.

Dude got some crappy lugnuts. I would go after em for the repairs. :madd: :madd:

Seems like he should've known they weren't right when he put the tires on

i know i would..... i'll try to see what i can find out if they did something about it but i seriously doubt it since "they" the tire store didn't install them then it is the sole responsability of the end user not the supplier.....

wow I would be whooping some tire story punk behind. But didn't he notice they weren't right?

You mean you are not supposed to keep the trigger pulled on the 1/2" impact til the socket stops turning? LOL!!

THat sucks. Should have realized they were wrong while installing them.

that seems like a pretty loose group on that board. LOL! i didn't read the whole thing but did he get the wrong thread pitch or the wrong style of nut? i was a victim of the wrong style of lug nut when i was in high school. i managed to keep all my wheels on....barely.... cost me some wheel studs though.

Ya we are a close knitt group on there.... so ya we cut up alot..... i'm not exactly sure but one person noted and i have experienced this before.... a 1/2 X 20 (standard) thread is VERY close to a 12 X 1.5 (metric) the 1/2 x 20 will tighten up on a 12x1.5 stud but won't hold the side to side force that he exerted on the car during that solomn (sp) before the lugs came off......

makes sense. i ran into "similar" thread issues before with hardware. tell him that's a sufficient explanation and we're ok with him having tools now. lol
