Who has a Blackberry!
Hey everyone, who all here has a Blackberry, what model and if you have blackberry messenger do you want to trade PINs for free texting/chatting through blackberry messenger
I have a 9630 Tour and will provide PIN upon request! |
I've had many but i'm on a treo now. BB Messenger is def tight. :U:
|
yup
|
I have the bb 8550 curve dam good phone loaded pandora on it rock out with tunes all night long
|
I have a Tour as well. Picked one up when I was home on leave. Only complaint is the trackball as usual but I learned to be patient with it and all is ok. I would get on messenger if I had an account set up but I won't be home again til the end of next month so my cell account is frozen until then.

My blackberries don't have PINS, or pearls...they have thorns.
Oh wait...you're not talking about fruit-bearing briar patches....sorry. Thought about getting a do-all phone...probably not a good idea for me to have more stuff to use as distraction, but is the Blackberry the better option than the other ones? |
yeah i def. like it......also if anyone wants to exchange PINs PM me
|
MM: you crack me up. I don't have one of those fandangled things either. Too much money for a basic talknig device that for the most part will likely cut out just like any other phone does around these parts. The phone companies have yet to figure out that cell coverage isn't great when you live in a mountain covered coastal area such I myself.
|
Ive had Curves, World editions, Bolds. so on...
I love the blackberry bold. I can do whatever I want with that phone. Its always on, and always with me. |
zach you are an addict! LOL

Sorry for the hijack....so are all Blackberry's compatible with every network, or are their proprietary versions exclusive to Verizon, AT&T, and so on? I've never really paid attention, sorry for the dumb questions. :c: |
pretty much every carrier has them, not sure about ATT though since they have the iPhone which is why these blackberry's have gotten so popular, its the poor man's iPhone so to speak since when the iPhones first came out they were like $600...
Im getting me one here in the near future, maybe tomorrow if i decide to...a blackberry that is |
shoot mine was like 550.00 but att sucks here but im happy with my phone doesnt have all the apps like the iphone has
|
you paid 550 for a blackberry
|
I have the touch screen dingleberry blueberry blackberry. POS....the first one kept freezing up and I couldn't answer the phone so it got an express ticket across my house. The second one was better till last week. Going for another replacement tomorrow. A couple more and verizon will replace with another model. All this fancy phone crap and I still have never texted.
|
whats the point of having one and not texting...yeah the touch screen one verizon has is known for freezing up but i thought they got that fixed up...im going with a nextel one, i have verizon now but they want like 30 a month more then nextel for there blackberry service

They have the Bold which was the predecessor to my Tour which is basically the same just made for Verizon and a little bit different shape. I've heard nothing but good things about the Bold and I think they just released a new version of it. |

My blackberry was around 600 new, though i did not pay a dime. The blackberry has just as many features, some better, some pointless. Id choose a blackberry over an iphone any day. im not a fan of the touch screen, although i think that the iphones internet feature is much better than the blackberrys |

Kinda my thinkin', too....a phone is for calling..... a high powered notebook with an air card and a 10 megapixel camera does the rest. :yeah: And around hill every road is a tunnel without a top thanks to the mountains and the trees....there are dead zones on I-5 for cryin' out loud....

The reception is the carrier not so much the phone. That being said these (with my experience) seem to hold onto the service they receive fairly well. As for me not texting.....I got this phone for the organization and internet. I jave the BB I'm but don't use it much. Phone call is much faster for me.

My Blackberry works great.
It not the best for surfing the internet but it sure does the job getting e-mails, texts and phone calls. When Im working up north, it even works in the refinery and I use it to confirm flights as well. When it come time to get another one - it will likely be the bold or something similar as it has WIFI built in. |
I see your point. Wouldn't the safety department have your ass in a sling by now with the potential for static electric charges though? We were only allowed our cells in certain areas.
|
No not in the areas that we work. Other places in the plant you cant have them.
|
whats a PIN? I have a blackberry Storm and everyone keeps asking for this PIN thing
|
iPhone is the only way to go :)

Again, sorry to hijack but where you guys have these fancy things - they sell them here too, don't get me wrong, but how well do they work? I mean, I can barely go a day without a dropped call, poor reception and even voicemails that don't even ring in the first place. I live in what is supposed to be a digital area but it is not a 1X area like the major centres are. In fact on the site where I'm working the cell can go from 4 bars to 1 just by turning 90 degrees.:argh::booo:
The City of Renton, Wa's main central shop, and King County DOT's main central shop are on the hill in the Renton Highlands, next to Renton Technical College and the Greenwood Cemetary--home of Jimi Hendrix....and it's a huge dead zone for cell service. Welcome to the northwest.... |
We just got the deal from Verizon. 49.95 BOGO blackberrys. Sina got the storm and I got the Curve. she knows her pin I have no idea what mine is. I'm still trying to figure out how to play Mafia Wars on it :humm:
|
Ive been told that the Verizon Blackberrys SUCK. One friend has been through 7 blackberry touchs. ATT service sucks around here or I would have an IPhone.
|
I have a BB curve and cant go a minute with out it! I invested in the Otterbox cover/clip and it has been my best investment yet! the phone takes a beating but the cover protects it wayyy beyond my expectations!
crackberry.com is a great place for updates, ringones, wallpapers. You can upload your own ringtones and wallpapers! Ian |
Well I got one...I'm posting from it right now its Pretty cool I need to get some ringtones and crap for it. I think its a curve but nextel calls it like 8503 or something like that :D

I just dumped my NEXT-HELL after 16+ years of service. Actually, I had it for about 13 years, got totally fed up with the piss poor performance of Nextel, and switched to a Sprint Hybrid. It allowed me to have the Sprint network AND the Nextel PTT which I needed for the PD work. A month or so back, I decided to crawl out of my tarpit and get a crackberry. Got the Net-Hell 83somefreakingthing or another. It started screwing up right off the sales floor. It wasn't the phone, it was the NEXTHELL network. Dropped calls, bad tx and rx, no v-mail notification, lost emails, ...yada yada yada.... Finally, I dumped the Nextel service (no longer required-using sat phones and marine bands for what we need) and went back to Sprint. Although they "claim" that it's "Sprint, together with Nextel" don't believe it! They utilize two totally separate networks, towers, etc., and even the customer service, tech support and billing are separate. Nextel service sucks nuts! If you're going nextel/sprint, unless you absolutely need the PTT, go SPRINT. Coverage areas are much better and stronger. As for the berry, I had a few issues with the phone but they seemed to get resolved with a couple of tech visits and so far, I'm happy. I too purchased the Otterbox. Great cover and I'm tough as hell on phones. Someone here said something along the lines of phones are for talking. A good strong laptop and an aircard along with a dig cam will take care of the rest...they are absolutely correct:) Not really sure what the hell I'm doing with a berry anyway.... I use my berry only when I can't have my laptop handy. |
