I snapped a few pics at the cabin ...was up there doin some fencin so thought I would share

Building fence is some hard ass work ...looks like yoiu done a fine job. Nice place. Where bouts is that at?

no kiddin,
my grand parents own a whole camp ground up north.
and their cabin is only half that size..
the live in it for about 8 months out of the year..
no toilet either, running water or power they call it a "wilderness camp ground"

Who the hell needs a fence with 2 dogs like that lying around?

Looks like were adding another German Shepard to the family today , I work swing shift have for 6 years and jenny is only ok with it cause of Jerico Our 115# German Shepard House Dog I should say Chases Dog ..LOL , We had a Pack of Wild dogs try to attack Chase Me and jenny wasnt outside/near him Jerico Ran In between them and took on the whole pack , Drawn to the commotion jenny ran out and got chase as Jerico was laying down some old fasion ass whoppin on the 3 dogs , They took off and a few days later i got one with the 8MM then 2 days after that i got one with a 4-10

thanks for the compliments on our cabin....we love the place and spend all the spare time we can up ther......its in Atlantic city Wyoming and sets at 7989 ft elevation....my camera got full so next time up I will get some more pics of the joint and the area to share with everyone

The shepards are good dogs and help me with everything I do....they even kill rettlesnakes when we go out joggin :w: as far as protecting the family you will never find a more true and dedicated dog than a shepard...he will give his life to save yours

Here is a pic of a chunk of granite rock that come from one of the old gold mines .................the chunk was hand drilled by gold minores using a star bit and a hammer also a small pice of tubing they would drop in the hole to blow the filings out....................dont ask me why but this chunk somehow was removed from the mine in one piece then as it sat over the years the holes filled with water and when froze the ice expanded and split this rock in half

here is a shot of the tailing from the mine..............I have alot of respect for the hard work the minors did as it was all manual labor without the use of equipment

and the hole where all the mining was done......there are prolly around a hundred open holes where gold mining used to take place....................some day I will get a big rope and go down in one and look for the big nugget

gold can still be found today by panning in rock creek and several other creeks up there............its placer gold and yes I have done this and yes I have found some...........I should learn more about what I am doing I guess........its fun

This is the old Duncan mine......during its time it was one of the largest operations up there....the mine is still pretty much in tact....last operated in the 50's I believe

here is my neighbore whatchamacallet that he uses for his gold mining operation.....ya shovel the raw product in the deal and the gold settles out the bottom........I really dont know how it works for sure but there are some up there as big as a semi truck that you load with a backhoe or loader

Closest I got to Atlantic City this year was Hana (and Rawlins, but that does not really count) but it's on our must visit list.

that's a helluva nice place ya got there whit. it's easy to see you really care about the place and take a lot of pride in making it nice. sounds like an awesome location too. you guys out west got all the cool sights and scenes!!

thanks guys.....ya the cabin is my bestest pride and joy of all................just got back from a week up there ...wish I was still there but I have a full very full month ahaed of me at work and prolly wont make it back up till September...An aprasior was in the area and used our cabin as a comparison on another up there thaty just sold......he tell me our cabin is worth around 250k now......amazing

Check out the old pot belley stove thats been in the family for years.................My dad packed wood and coal for this stove for many many years when it was in their hotel lobby in Lava Hot Springs Idaho................its safe and sound here

found a couple other old pics....................red canyon is on the way up to the cabin......prolly another 15 miles past this is where our cabin is ..red canyon is very beautiful and in the winter months you can stop and see usually several hundred elk grazing all within one spot.........you can see for miles...........the mountains in the back ground are the owl creek mountains and our house in Shoshoni sets at the base of them

the other pic is of popo agie (pronounced poposhia)................John Wayne had this creek in one of his movies and sure enough they pronounced it popo agie..........dumb ass actors ...............IMHO the popo agie is the most beautiful creek that I have ever seen
