How do you prepare a nice steak?

I sprinkle the Famous Daves Steak and Burger Seasoning on then sprinkle the Montreal Steak Seasoning on. While cooking on the grill, after i flip them i put both seasonings on the other side as well, i "try" to cook the steaks Medium. To me these are great ways to add a little flavor to my steak.

I hear ya on the Montreal seasoning. I even mix it into my hamburgers. Try that sometime:U:

I use Fiesta brand Brisket Rub and Dale's Steak Marinade. I sprinkle both sides of the steaks with the Rub, then sprinkle on the Dale's and fork the hell out of both sides of the steak. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit on counter for a couple hours. You're times will vary, but you want your meat room temp.

While you're doing this, get a hot mesquite fire going and scoop up some hot coals. Clean off the grill with a wire brush and heat it up to temp., then slap those puppies on the grill. When they become loose from the grill flip'em and cook to desired doneness. Only turn'em once.

I use leftover Bacon drippins (Grease) and World-Famous Rendezvous rib seasoning.

I will soften the bacon grease in the microwave and brush it on both sides of the steak and while its still liquid I'll coat both sides with the Rendezvous rib seasoning. Then cover and let stand for an hour at room temperature.
You don't want to put the steak directly over the flames because it will flare up.

Eating popcorn is a waste of jaw movement.

I usually marinate my steaks in Worchester Sauce, Montreal Steak Seasoning and Ranch Dressing.

I use Kickin Chicken on my boneless chicken breasts

I like to marinate steak in Stubs spicy bbq sauce with some beer, Italian dressing and mix in some garlic salt let it soak in that for a few hours then brush it on as you grill it

A buddy of mine showed me an awesome way to do steaks this past summer. Use some rock salt, cinnamon, and some paprika. Sounds crazy? Well try it, best steak ever. Rub it in nicely on both sides of some good meat, just enough to cover the meat lightly, then preheat grill to max, cook with cover open and do 2-4minutes a side, only flip once. Even on a propane grill, it was absolutely amazing. I prefer charcoal grills, but this still tasted amazing. :U: :U:

I love my steak and usually just go with worchester sause as a marinade or if it was a last minute thing I keep dousing it on as I cook and drink beer.

I like spice so i mix Montreal seasoning and crack pepper with red hot or tobasco sause and rub it in to the steak then grill when flipped rub ob other side. but i put foil over the grate of the grill and bake little sides to hold in the juises and cook to medium, spice things up and wash all down with some jack on the rocks

Captain Call 03-04-2009 08:52 PM

I just knock it's horns off, wipe it's nasty ol arse and chuck it down on the plate. Or, I use some garlic powder, onion powder, ground sage, lowry's seasoned salt and some lemon pepper. All in small amounts cause I don't want to over power the steak. If it's home grown beef I just cook it rare and a little butter and salt.
