Shawshank was filmed just a couple miles from my house! The prison, the town and the country roads filmed for that movie are all my old (and present) stomping grounds. The prison is called the old Mansfield Reformatory (google it or see it on youtube) and while only the main building and a few cell blocks remain, it is still a very ominous place to visit, especially during holloween, and is known as one of the most haunted places in the country as over 200 people died at the prison during it's 90+ years of operation..

Chad did you know that the movie BRUBAKER with Robert Redford was filmed in Junction City at the old prison??? they tore it down a few years ago but not before i took a little tour of it.......with a crackhead from Lancaster (literally a crackhead) as our tour guide.......i only did the 1st and second floors because the basement was flooded.......i gave him 10 bucks and he was happier than a retard in a room full of bouncy balls.....

8 seconds (though 75% of it aint true), days of thunder (can recite every line and ive actually been to City Chevrolet in downtown Charlotte), smokey and the bandit 1 (2 and 3 sucked), convoy (Martin Penwald: Here's the plan: When we get to the pass, we're gonna put on our fish costumes, pass out the Vaseline an' an extra ration o' rum for the men. That should do it...)......most of the other car movies are ok but those are the best......heartbreak ridge (I'm mean, nasty, and tired, I eat consatina wire and piss napalm and can put a round through a flea's a*s at 200 meters....).......Full Metal Jacket (I am Gunnery Seargant Hartman, your senior drill instructor.....)
