OK, just a suggestion, next I would check the vent like suggested and check all the fuel lines.
O and when you get that one running good I will send you my 075 Stihl and you can work on that:w2: |
I'm thinking along the same lines as 00' Quad Cab.
Dude, I think your saw needs a pyro. :rocking: ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Seriously though. About the coil. Does it still have spark once it warms up and dies? |
We have 2 Stihl's here i would rather use an axe :D
I pulled on this things crank until i seen bubbles , Im ordering a New Coil , will that come with the spark plug wire also ? anyone know ? |

IIRC the Jonsred should but don't quote me on that one, been a while since I slummed it with a lesser chainsaw:w2:

Where online can i get a coil ?

Yes the new coil will come with a plug wire.
You don't need me to hold your wire while you tug on it. :D :D :D First thing is if you can't remember the last time you put a plug in it, replace it. Now you know for sure without a doubt that the plug is good. Run the saw til it "craps out" and then check for spark. Not just any old spark, but a good spark. When you search for a new coil be sure you're sitting down. The price of a new one will just about floor you. Sometimes it's cheaper to just replace the whole saw. |
I had the same problem with a husky (I believe jonsered comes out the same door as poulan and husky) I used (good cutting saws, higher rpms and when you hit a rock you dull the chain twice as fast as you would with a stihl).
when it got warm it would shut off and wouldnt run until it was cool. I mixed the fuel with a little more oil and never had a problem again |
First off, why do you have the limiting tabs cut off? Do you have a ported jug or muffler? If you just richened up the mixture, you're gonna stall the saw when it gets up to temp and the air starts getting warm. Lean your mix up on your H screw and let it barely 4-stroke at WOT when its warm... 2 strokes can be hard to tune sometimes.
BTW, J-Reds are nice saws, but now that they are owned by E-Lux, they are the exact same thing as Husky, just without the bent handle, lol... My old 044 has never left me hanging, and it'll out cut a 372XP or 2171 any day of the week. |
