Do You Remember??
This being the 7th anniversary of 9/11 i figured i would ask if you remember where or what you were doing on most horrible day of my generation...
I was in 3rd period study hall in 7th grade just hanging out with friends when someone come in and said a plane just run into a building in New York and you guys and gals all know the rest..... I would also like take this time to acknowledge all those who lost and gave their lives in this horrible event and the family, friends, or any body that had a loved one involved....:c: NEVER FORGET |
NEVER FORGET is right bud.. It was definately the day America Changed..
I had just got off work @ am that morning.. made it to the house from the rig, and was astounded with the news as I walked in the house. Just to thinkthat 7 years later, our American Soldiers are still sacrificing their lives for this cause... :usa: :usa: |
I was headed back from WY on days off. Me and a friend of mine heard over the radio that the Trade Towers had collapsed. We didn't believe it, so we pulled into the Little America truck stop. It showed everything on tv. Tell ya we were in total flippin shock.
I would also like take this time to acknowledge all those who lost and gave their lives in this horrible event and the family, friends, or any body that had a loved one involved....:c: Amen!!! |
I was outside at the smoking tables @ Wytheville Community College taking a break from my VA Work study job when a girl ran by on the phone crying. Then someone else went by yelling or something and then my boss, a retired Gunny from the USMC signaled me to come in and watch, so I was watching when the second plane hit. :argh::ouch::madd::bat::guns:
I wanted to go back in!!! but because I had been "Medically" discharged they would not let me...:argh: |
I was a SR in HS in the school kitchen for my independent study hall listening to the radio and they were talkin about a plane hitting the towers.... Then shortly after that they came on over on the loud speaker telling us all what happened and had all of the teacher to turn on the tvs to let us watch the news coverage.... Theres a good show on the History channel about the towers right now

I was working (not at BCD), waiting to go in to a meeting re: my promotion, when the first plane hit. When I walked into the meeting, we were all trying to believe it was an accident. By the time I walked out of the meeting, the second plane had already hit, the third was hijacked, I had my promotion, and we were under attack.
At least we all thought we were, and that there would be more attacks to come. Thank God there weren't. I remember it clearly, how it felt. Like nothing I've ever felt before. Or since. I also would like to acknowledge all the victims, their families and friends, all the people whose lives were directly affected. And the military who have or are still serving today. :usa: Words cannot express ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .... ........ ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- I wish I still got the history channel!!! arrgg! |
I was working as a Wide Area Network Engineer. Sitting at a computer when the news came over the radio. We went to the conference room and watched as theh second one hit. No one could believe it was happening.
Wow, what a wake up call it was.... |
