Hello Girls!

To all the members of the gals of BSG, whats going on ladies!! so i figured we need to get a thread going to talk about diesels, or hell whatever comes to mind, but preferably diesel trucks cuz i didnt see any threads in candy land about them and if any of ya'll are like me and like to talk about your pickup then this is the place to do it!! I think there should be a place for us girls to discuss our trucks too. so lets make one!!
so what do ya'll drive and whats done to um? If you dont have a truck and just love um, what would you get if you could get any truck in the world?

I drive a red 2006 Dodge Cummins 2500 QC, 4wd, with an icebox intake, torque tube and intercooler boots, 4" turbo back straight pipe exhaust system, and a Quadzilla Max Mileage.

My dream truck is a metallic blue 2006 dodge Cummins 3500, QC, 4wd sport dually. modded out of course!!

Thanks for being part of our group gals!!:c:

MrS_sLoWtOwPiG 07-01-2008 07:58 AM

Okay ladies we really need to get our know together and show them we know what we are talkng about. I mean I know for the most part what goes with my truck but damned if I could pop the hood and find out if I have a 65mm turbine in my HTT62/12 turbo. Me thinks I would have to take it off to find that out. Sorry, I got asked if that's what I had and I have no idea. I know what as gone into my truck and could probably get in there and replace some things if I had to but that's what I have a mechanic for.
Maybe we could post a question that one of us has and we could all research, compare answers and learn together?:humm:

Well ask something already :pca1:

dieselgrl4life 07-03-2008 04:24 PM

Sounds like a plan, u just know the guys will have their lil noses in here chiming in too so im sure we will learn alot that way, i have already learned ALOT from the guys on here. but yeah we definitely need some truck talk going on here so, does any one have a question about their truck?:pca1:

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Sounds good girls! does anyone have a question to get us going? lol i can already tell we will be learning from the guys whether we like it or not . but i must say i have learned ALOT from a good number of them since joining so... might not be all bad i guess.even though they will be posting on a girls thread lmao!!!:pca1:

Now didn't you say you were going back to the men's section???? Why you still hanging here????:tttt:

Okay, I want to know how to figure out if I have the 65mm turbine in my HTT62/12 and if I have to take it off to figure that out. :humm:

There a starting point.

2500HeavyDuty 07-03-2008 10:45 PM

sorry had to chime in hey danny I think there plan is not including you lol so let them go and learn anyway they choose to. :ph:

littleleadfoot 07-04-2008 10:16 AM

Actually, it can be a 62/12 and still have a 65mm turbine. I need to figure out if this is the case because if so that is a good reason why my turbo barks so bad when shifting between gears at low rpm's. I thought at first that it was because I was not getting enough fuel. I have been told to eliminate all possible causes before I look at a HRVP or bigger injectors. As both have bigger cons than pros for a daily rush hour traffic driver. Such as huge bombs and too tempermental at low rpms.

2500HeavyDuty 07-04-2008 10:56 AM

:pca1:

dieselgrl4life 07-04-2008 01:01 PM

Is there a identification tag somewhere on the turbo that maybe you cant see? if there is maybe it tells what size turbine is in your specific turbo.... just a thought?:humm:

littleleadfoot 07-04-2008 01:19 PM

Ya I am a shorty so with out a ladder I can't get that and I would prolly fall in. lol Still working on it though.:U:

dieselgrl4life 07-04-2008 01:59 PM

well i know most parts have some sort of part # so you can trace where they came from or where they were made at least, maybe if you could find they part # on your turbo you could find out the size turbine in that specific make. ur turbo is located near the top of ur engine block isnt it? mine is in the lowerhalf, VERY hard to get too from the top of the motor for me cuz im short too, but its easy to see from the bottom. im betting ur exhaust downpipe is probly in ur way but have u crawled under and tried to look up from under the truck with a light? possibly ud be able to see what is there if there is any sort of part # or id tag/sticker on the turbo housing.??

littleleadfoot 07-04-2008 02:27 PM

It is mid way and towards the back, before I head out to the track tonight when I get home I will crawl under and see what there is to see. When I was peaking a bit ago :humm: I was sure I got a HTT62/12 but it says Switzer. I will have to call Vulcan Monday morning.

dieselgrl4life 07-04-2008 03:26 PM

hmmmmmm:humm: interesting i dnt know much about turbos, but i just had a few thoughts, lemme know what ya find out....:pca1:

dmaxjenn 07-05-2008 01:55 PM

wouldnt that be on your VIN # all your parts and where it was made and all about your truck, there was this vin check place you could find out all about your truck, ill try to find you a link and you can figure it out..or pm me your vin and ill get the specs for ya.

littleleadfoot 07-05-2008 10:11 PM

The vin won't help it is aftermarket. I'm gonna have to call Vulcan on Monday and ask Eric. I pulled the reciept and all it says is HTT62/12 with no part numbers or serial numbers.

Marine 07-06-2008 11:17 AM

Deb,

I have an HTB2 62/13SS. Are you doing anything for Stampede? Maybe I can take a look. I am in Calgary right now.
