DT466e vs. DT530e injectors

I have a 98 4900 series international single axle dump with the DT466 in it. The truck lacks power expecially when loaded or pulling a trailer. I was looking into tuners like the TS MP-8 ect. but was told the power increase is barely noticable.
The DT466 injectors flow 180cc's of fuel and the 530's flow 200cc's, I know they will bolt right in and take the same amount of oil from the HPOP but what about the spray pattern?
I was planning on 530 injectors and a bigger turbo since the garret thats on it is on its way out. If I had 813BN injector code injectors in my 466 can I run BN code 530 injectors in my 466?
Thanks

The BP is the ones you want. They have the biggest nozzles. The spray angle is within a couple degrees, if not the same. 466 and 530 have the same bore anyway. They are the ones going in as replacements for many local fie trucks, and the drivers rave at the difference. Great power, no smoke, and no overheating going from 250hp to the BP.

So run BP code 466 sticks or 530 sticks? I was plannin on stepping up a code anyway for more power. I was also told the garret turbo's foot is a T4 so I was looking into a s2000 since there is,tons of hoysing size options on em but I read somewere an hx40 is a option?

The BP is for a 466, but a rare item to see in the real world. Detroit Series 40E rated them at 330/1050. The book lists them as for a "transit", but not a whole lot else. All I could get from the people in the know, was that they have the biggest nozzles of all the 466/530's.
Right, it's a T4 foot. I would vote for an S300 for versatility. The HX40 is a readily available (and affordable) option. For 300hp range, a 60mm compressor wheel, and a 17-19sq cm exh housing.

Ok thanks fo the help, will try and track down BPs. I have to see what my boss wants to do with turbos, not looking for crazy power just trying to get the truck quicker when loaded so when merging on a highway the drivers can go over 35mph.

Just read your reply in the other dt post, to run bp code sticks I need a 530 hpop?
I am looking foward to custom ecm tunes also.

I was saying it could need the higher flow HPOP. Really depends on how good your is. It may run perfectly fine, and it may sputter and blow a little white smoke. If it does, at least you know what's doing it. The other part was if the OEM ones are split shot. Yours, I'm 95% sure it is, so it's not much of a worry. You can call a reputable IH parts dept, and ask them. Just need the last 8 of the VIN.
I drive an 07 almost everyday at work. It has 300hp/860tq, and it sure feels like it wants at least 30 more hp. Avg rolling weight is 31k, so that kills it being peppy. I would say, either the BP's, or extrude hone to desired hp level.
Why not get 60 or 70% Extruded nozzles, and an HX50?:tu:
Merge on the freeway at above freeway speeds.
You could also mod the OEM Garrett. It gets spendy, but would look all original.

Would like to get them honed but would rather not srnd them out, were looking to just order and pick parts up localy, dont know how much money the company wants to spend. We would like to use anhx40 or s2000 for there low cost and availability.

OK, I'm sure there's a good fuel injection shop relatively close to you. The IH dealers frown upon anything not stock.

XDP is close but doesnt do work, fleetsource is another close one but knowone will do custom or bigger stuff around here it seems. Were looking to just go to fleetsource and say I need injectors for a 530 0r 466 and give them a code (BP) and slap em in.
If I get 466 BP injectors and put em in i should have a nice bump up in hp?
I will than find a turbo and take care of airflow.

Also, before I get injectors that may need lots of oil can I check oil pressure that the HPOP is putting out and were? I dont wanna be playing around with that much pressure.
Or is it easier to just check rail pressure and get that number to know that the HPOPs working right.
Thanks

1836252c91, 1836253c1, 1836251c91, 1835250c1 are the IH numbers for a BP.
These are THE biggest injectors used in a 466 or 530 up until the egr started in mid 2004. You will poo your pants at the difference.
Best to measure hpop on the head. It should idle fine, possibly a little stumble at times. If it cant keep up, you'll know right away. Add a turbo to keep the egt in check.
