I have some more pics of some of the other Cokers For some reason they wont post on this site. Heres the link: http://rides.webshots.com/album/255884251fyxkNL When you look at the pics, open them up and make sure you click on "FULL SIZE" in the upper right hand corner. The pics are big and this will show you how big this thing really is. Heres the company that hauls a lot of these BIG vessels : http://www.premay.com/latest.html "These Coker vessel loads were 38’ high, 34’ wide, 290’ long with the lead tractor unit and a gross weight of 1,800,000 lbs. Actual vessel weight was 940,000 lbs. The trip to site was 800 km long and lasted 9 days. Obstacles en route ranged from days when it was too cold to move to days when warm weather caused pavement loading concerns and power lines to droop! With seven tractor units pulling and pushing up hills the Premay team moved these loads safely and without incident to our clients plant site. " Ill have to work on it a bit.... |
It only takes 20 sets of axles to support that, it's not "that" heavy :lol
Just 1 800 000 pounds worth....
not too heavy? to size it up it is the same weight as 22.5 normal 80,000lb trucks running down the road we see everyday.
I could pull it.

That is one big trailer. I see them all the time around here lately, and it's funny when you hear a guy pulling part of a modular house that is 18 X 60 on the cb saying he is glad he is just pulling his little part of a house. I want to know how the heck you turn into anywhere?

dang thats a big load. a few years ago there was a tunneling machine that came from germany and they had to have two trucks side by side to haul it.
around here they get it to the water and put it on a barge. Out in Alberta, there are big machines. I wonder what the poor bridge engineer was thinking when "they" said we are going over that there stick frame... probably I hope the insurance is paid up.
