i had a set of 235 85 16s on my 2000 dually and liked them alot they wore great , now my 06 needs new skins the old bfg km2 are almost bald has any one ran a 285 70 or 75 17? also do u think a little bigger tire will help my mileage or hurt?i also like nittos bc they seem to be a decent tire for the price and i dont mud mostly highway driving

 

I have a set of 285/75X17's on mine. They are nearly 34" diameter, 3,970 lbs weight rated, very tight but clear everything but the lower control arm on a hard left. I have NW running boards on mine and chains won't clear those although I think before winter I can clearance them enough for cables but not real chains. Fuel mileage initially seemed a bit down but the speedo is not showing as many miles as the bit shorter ones I had before. I have an idea how much it's off but need to find out exactly how much. Figuring on what I think that number is does not appear to have affected the mileage significantly. I've only had them about a month but pretty happy so far. Drive excellent and say Made in the USA on the sidewall.

 

any other ideas anyone? i just rotated my tires for their last go round
