Default got my new truck!

I finally got my dodge diesel that ive been wanting its a 06 5.9l, I got it straight piped already. Know ive been hearing that straight piping the cummins insnt to good for them is this true or not?? The truck has a 6inch lift on 37s with a superchips proggrammer on tow mode. Im looking into getting the smarty instead.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

how is the quadzilla adrenaline tuner also? does it even compare to the smarty?

Cummins love to breather, so the easier you make it for em, the more power youll get outta of them, diesels dont need backpressure. Congrats, I think the smarty is the best tuner to get if you can afford it and want to upgrade parts to handle it. Sorry about the 6.0h no, I feel your pain our ranch truck is an oh no, and its also been nothing but problems, but ive been sworn if I do this and that it would be better than the cummins (ya right) but its got 210K on it and its not worth it, a new cummins engine cost as much as to rebuild the darn sucker so Fummins may be on the way...

thats what ive been hearing that its not gona hurt the truck being straight piped. ya ive always heard that smartys the best way to go for dodge, i will use it in tow mode pretty much all the time. what parts need to be upgraded on the dodge, and using the proggrammer on tow all the time will you really need to replace the parts your talking about.
An ya my 6.0 was a nightmare it had all the problems there known for! thats definetly the way to go fummins get the nice interior of the ford and the reliabilty of the cummins. lmk how that works for ya if you end up doing that

I actually like the h&s tuners for these trucks. U can fined used smarts for a good price though. EFI is also one of my favorites, they just lack the adjustability if u don't know how to tune yourself.
