Truck is making a ticking noise and shaking when gasing the truck and lose of power, pretty sure it's an injector, how much to replace and install?

 

It depends if you can do it yourself or not. I dont know if the injector is your problem, but i can find used injectors for about $125 each here in Houston. No guaranty on if they are good or not. Removing the valve cover is a pain, but if you can do it yourself, you will save a bunch of $$. It will take a few hours if you are unfamiliar with the process. If you take it to a shop, a good rule of thumb is "if it goes into the shop, expect to pay around $1000".

 

I replaced glow plugs on my 99 in about 7 hrs but I had a seized glow plug and we ended up removing an injector.it Prolly would of took 4-5 hrs

how do you know its an injector? did you scan it? did you do any troubleshooting? or are you just guessing?
