Default Coolent smell on a 08

Companys got a 08 6.6 dmax. complaints of smelling coolent..
My research says.. first check the coolent cap..
or it could be heater core going. Signs are: look for foggy windows, and wet passenger floor..ALLDATA Online - Logon
or do a pressure test on the coolent lines. look for pin holes...ALLDATA Online - Logon
I did see a TSB recall on this.. with vin codes 8110076-8123758.

There was also a cross pipe that was noted to be a common problem..ALLDATA Online - Logon

Is there anything else you can think of.

2008 is an LMM, not LBZ, but have you checked the coolant overflow tube?

No the trucks not here right now,
Im doing a check list.
Its easier if he knows what to look for before he goes all the way there just to look at it.
