valve springs
So I've Ben searching around about valve springs and gsk . I cant seem to get good simple answers . So 1 . Whats the benefit of say 60lb valve springs on my 99? And 2 24v doesn't have governor springs does it. I think I read somewhere that its for ppump only.(please correct me if I'm wrong here I'm still learning)
1, you already have 60lb springs in a 24 valve. Going to 110 pound springs is the most common route. A stronger spring prevents the valve from opening under extreme boost levels. As boost pushes on the valve down, more effort (stronger spring) is required to keep the valve closed.
2, Correct, that is a mechanical, p-pump, system.

What kind of boost are you seeing? Upgraded springs aren't required until 60+ PSI, or an upgraded Cam is installed.

Well I'm just throwing around ideas I'm about back to stock now the quad I had was giving me problems. I'm only running about 22-26 psi but if I do hard parts instead of electronics I'm gonna do it all at once I'm just trying to get a good parts list together. But I'm thinking about a different chip too. What would yo recommend?
