thinkin of just runnin exhaust cut off under can with a bolt on 8inch tip. thoughts on this

You mean just a downpipe and a tip? Or am I misunderstanding something? Think I'd run it at least to the back of the cab, or 90 it and spit it out behind the front tire. Just thoughts, I may have totally misunderstood you.

Unless noise and drone don't bother you (not to mention in cab exhaust while idiling and traffic) I would say no to that.

I would say from a saftey point of veiw that you would have to run it out from under the cab.
