crank position sensor
i recently put in a new crank sensor in my 2002 6.6 lb7 and truck no longer runs( it did before but just would die while i was driving and show code ckp) but when i was takin the old one out my nephew tried startin the truck and i got the new sensor in and the truck will not start. Is that because the crank sensor no longer lined up in the correct place with crank shaft. If soo how do u fix it to get it back lined up

please list codes. are there any modifications or tuners on the truck?
the crank sensor is self aligning. basically the reluctor wheel has a missing tooth the the ecm uses as the starting point. if the sensor does not send the signal or the ecm doesn't get it the engine wont start.
make sure the sensor is fully seated and no debris between the sensor. check if it will start
if it still wont start then check for any bad wires or shorts with an ohm meter
