My factory oil pressure gauge gets jittery and falls off. It mostly happens when the oil is hot and i am towing. I changed the oil and filter but it didn't help. What might be going on? I have experienced this problem at an idle before and that turned out to be the sensor. Could this also be the sensor?

 

Mine does it too. I'm going to buy a new sensor. Its like $8 from napa

 

Yes it does... Thought you had fixed that but noticed it when I went home the other day.

 

I did put a new one in it but it started doing it again after I got her running again.

 

The one I have in there now was replacement from napa (about a year ago).

 

Put a replacement in my 95 and it only lasted bout 2 weeks, said to heck with it and put a mechanical gauge in. Nice knowing what its really putting out.
