I have recently bought a 1993 GMC Sierra 2500 with a 6.2l Diesel engine. When I first bought it it ran perfect but I parked it on a house hill with the nose facing down and it will not start. The motor turns over like usual and the glow plugs are supposedly cycling. I'm lost and know nothing about diesels. Hopefully some of you guys can help.

 

maybe you could try rolling it to more level ground.

 

I Am going to give that a try. Will change oil,all filter and bleed fuel system. Hopefully this will get it going. If not I'm leaning towards glow plugs.

 

Changed fuel, air and oil filter as well as oil. Parked it on level ground but still nothing. Played with what looks to be a fuel injector controller that is slightly coroded. Wiggled it and it fired right up. guess it was a simple fix.

I have no idea how to post pictures. It says something about entering a url. It was a small circle with a wire connector going to it and a adjustment screw of some sort going through the middle of it

 

I believe it is the fuel shut off solenoid he is talking about
